Mickel Travels Many Miles to Make a Bid for the World Title

30th September 2015

Horsham based John Mickel, who currently leads the UK National Legends Championship, with just one weekend remaining, is due to travel many miles to the USA to make his bid for the INEX Legends Road Course World Title and while he is there he will make a bid for the World Series Points Title at the same time!

The 2015 World Finals will take place on October 17th & 18th on the 1.6 mile New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and is open to the world’s Legends Drivers.

All drivers participate in qualifying, which determines grid positions for one of two heats and the fastest drivers across the two heats will make the Final. This consisted of 60 drivers back in 2001 when John succeeded in bringing home the winner’s trophy and the prestigious title of World Champion.

John is shipping his very own Championship leading K-Seal backed Legends Race Car off to the USA to contend in this highly respected event and then has arranged to fly it straight back home to complete this year’s UK Championship and hopefully lift the UK title at Brands Hatch in early November.

John said “This is a great opportunity following a successful UK season so far. This opens up the prospect for me to possibly lift three important Championship Titles, all within a month of each other.”

The trip is possible due to the continued support from all of the marketing partners and John Mickel would like to thank all of those companies who believe in the team’s abilities to promote their brand. Mickel Motorsport is also excited to announce that they have partnered up with some esteemed companies such as Al Jeyad Stables and J Davidson Scrap Metal Processors. Their support for the transatlantic bid and for the remainder of the season is greatly valued.
