Why Tyre Shaving?
Tyre shaving offers many advantages to the pro racer. Shaving a tyre can improve the tyre's charactoristics by improving and incressing the contact area of the tyre, thus improving response and wear rate.
Acceleration and breaking can also be improved by reducing the weight of the tyre.
What do I need to do?
Mickel Motorsport's tyre shaving service requires you to arrange delivery to our workshop, competitors at events in the UK Legends Series can also arrange track drop off.
Tyres must be supplied on their own rims and inflated to the correct pressure.
Mickel Motorsport will contact you once your tyres are ready for collection, or if by prior arrangement, will return your tyres by your chosen delivery method.
