John Mickel
#4John Mickel was born with oval racing in his blood. His father competed in local stock car events then introduced a young John to Mini Stocks, running on quarter mile ovals, at the tender age of 10. His love for speed became more pronounced as he started to take podium positions in everything he raced, becoming a multi junior champion before the age of 12 on the short ovals.

Paul Simmons
#51Paul Simmons has been involved in the UK Legends Championship for a number of years now. His return to the track this year follows his most successful year in 2016 where Paul collected the Master Championship title driving his Baileigh Industrial #51 car with Micke Motorsport. Let’s hope his success continues this year. 2016 – Master Championship title

Mike Schlup
#3Mike Schlup is the MD of Kalimex and the K-Seal brand. This will be his second year in the UK National Legends Championship and it gets better every time he gets out on the track!. Mike collected a trophy in the Team car category in 2016. “The fantastic success of the 2015 season with John finally made me decide to give 'proper' racing a go and the team at Mickel Motorsport were the ideal choice to get me on track in a competitive car.” 2016 – Team Car Championship title

Lee Fitzpatrick
#55Having started Karting at the not so tender ae of 19, I moved through the formula’s pretty quickly, racing, Formula Renault 1700’s and 2000’s in the BTCC support package.

Luke Ttakoushis
#55My first and only experience on track was a track day at Palmer’s Sports, which is where I found my love for the sport.

Luke Simmons
#25In 2016 at the age of 14 Luke started racing in Junior Rods as his first steps into motorsport in which he gained a few podiums and a race wins. At aged 16 Luke progressed into Superstoxs, a full contact formula, where he really learnt his race craft, winning podiums and becoming Southern Champion in 2021.

Oli Schlup
#9I started racing karts a few years ago and also got heavily involved with sim racing. In 2021 I turned 16 and had the opportunity to get my ARDS test, which I passed just after my 16th birthday. My Dad has been racing Legends for a few years now, also with Mickel Motorsport, so I’m familiar with the cars and the format. I had a couple of races with Legends towards the end of the ‘21 season and managed to get some positive results, despite having to start from the back. For 2022 I will be running a full Legends campaign and will be aiming to win the Rookie championship, although there is some stiff competition. I’m currently studying motorsport mechanics at college and in my spare time I love to play rugby for Haywards Heath RFC Colts.

Chris Brockhurst
#89I have been involved in racing since I was born. My dad raced grand prix midgets and superstocks on the ovals this then inspired me to get involved, so back in 1997 at the age of 14 my dad brought me my first Mini which we built together and i joined the junior mini class and raced this on ovals, this is where I gained my confidence and realised racing was in my blood, I became very successful in this formula with multiple race wins.
