John Mickel was involved in a spectacular crash in the opening rounds of the 2023 UK National Legends Championship at Cadwell Park. Horsham based Mickel was rushed to Diana Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby following an enormous crash where bystanders witnessed his 5/8th scale 34 Ford Coupe literally take off, performing multiple high-speed rolls in the air before coming to rest on its side. The rescue crew, marshals, medics, and some stunned drivers pulled Mickel from his wrecked car.

Mickel Motorsport recently returned from Lincolnshire’s woodland adventure track at Cadwell Park where John Mickel fought hard to close the point’s gap in the UK MRF Legends Cars National Championship.
