Mike Schlup did the honours for Mickel Motorsport making the top ten for a second time at Anglesey finishing in 10th place.

Sunday 23rd April 2017 - Round 4

Race 1

The team worked very hard overnight fixing one sick engine problem and one problematic axle. Spirits remained high with the sight of a new day ahead.

Despite a good run in practice, John’s engine gremlins returned leaving John to battle for every inch of racetrack and to cross the line with as many points as he could muster, finishing 9th. Paul Simmons lead the Mickel Motorsport team to finish 7th with Mike Schlup finishing 13th

John Mickel collected the 1st place trophy on Sunday, winning Round 4 with Paul Simmons collecting Master of the day on both rounds for his amalgamation of points each day..

John said “For a disastrous weekend we have done well really. I came to Anglesey leading the Championship by a small margin and I leave Anglesey in 2nd place but with only a very small gap of 30 points behind the Championship leader. I had one DNF and one very slow race so the points could have been looking so much worse. It is still very early days and there is still a lot more racing to do in my K-Seal Legend. This only makes things more interesting”.
