Mickel Motorsport Forges Partnership with Local Funeral Company

Dandelion Farewells is an independent funeral company, based in Wisborough Green near Horsham, offering highly personal and professional support, enabling families to plan a meaningful and memorable funeral.

In October 2018 Mickel Motorsport forged a unique connection with Dandelion Farewells whilst fulfilling the personal wishes for a close friend, known to the Mickel Motorsport Team as “Chatty Man” for his vivacious hosting talents at the high-profile race team events, who eventually lost his courageous battle against cancer. John Mickel felt honoured to be involved in the funeral arrangements in accordance with the gentleman’s last wishes to enable some very personal touches to be fulfilled.  It was at this point that MD of Mickel Motorsport was introduced to Judith Dandy founder and funeral director for Dandelion Farewells. Judith ensures that her business provides a flexible and individually tailored approach to respond to the circumstances and requests of each family.

Judith shares: “Our partnership link with Mickel Motorsport will enable us to support this highly accomplished local racing team to another successful season. We are also looking forward to sharing our race day tickets with community groups who would benefit from original prizes for their fundraising initiatives. As a company, we wish you all a great 2019 season!”

John Mickel, Managing Director of Mickel Motorsport said “Judith works so hard to make her independent business more personal and unique than the main stream companies that people tend to turn to in a time of grief. I am so impressed by her individual approach and our two businesses are comparable in the way we both tailor our packages around what is required. Judith recently organised a fund-raising event to enable her to replenish her stock of books to assist families with the grieving process.  I don’t know of any other main stream companies that offer that personal service. As an independent company, I would like to try and assist in raising the profile of Dandelion Farewells within the local community.”

The 2019 UK National Legends Championship kicks off to a racing start on Sunday 21st and Monday 22nd April at the famous Brands Hatch circuit. John will be racing to defend his UK National Legends Championship title he collected in 2018 which was his record breaking 5th title win in this tightly contested championship.
