Mickel Motorsport Maintain the Championship Lead at Snetterton

Mickel Motorsport returned from Snetterton less than a fortnight ago compounding their championship lead. They faced some wet and thankless weather on Saturday and had to deal with some gremlins on Sunday but with all that said, it turned out well for the Horsham based team.

John Mickel #4 – K-Seal

John was still searching for his perfect wet set up throughout the day on Saturday, but despite not quite having enough grip, still brought the brightly coloured K-Seal #4 car home in 7th, 4th & 6th places on Saturday. This put John in joint 3rd overall on points for the day.

The weather dried up for Sunday but with race one bringing the gremlins in the shape of oil leak for John, he only managed to bag a 3rd place. The team were quick to sort out the problem by race two and John returned to his stunning form to win the last two races of the weekend. This meant that John won the top place podium for the day.

Paul Simmons #51 - Baileigh Industrial Ltd

The wet set up was still a mystery for the Baileigh team too and Paul did what he could to keep the slippery car in one piece throughout the day finishing in 14th, 12th & 8th. Sunday saw the black mean Baileigh machine return to form with Paul finishing in 4th, 5th & 2nd placing him third overall on the podium for the day.

Mike Schlup #3 – K-Seal

Snetterton was a new circuit for Mike Schlup and he built his speed as he built his experience, finishing 17th, 15th & 15th on Saturday and 14th, 13th & 14th on Sunday.

The next rounds are at Pembrey on 15th & 16th October but there is so much to lose with the double header offering double points! That’s 2,400 points at stake!
